Beginning of The Commission Fellowship:

We began in the Spring of 2007. When the Lord started this fellowship he put it on our hearts to read Ezekiel 34. When we read this passage we learned that the sheep needed to be fed. God was stirring in us a desire to take care of God's precious sheep for whom He laid down His life. So we began to pray and ask the Lord where He wanted us to meet. We started meeting in a house and studying through the book of Genesis on Sunday mornings. Sunday evenings we met in homes and started studying the book of Acts. Then we started studying the book of Matthew in another home on Wednesday nights. Soon after a dear brother, John Reyna, from Calvary Chapel in Madera, California, came and helped us tremendously by assisting with the appointment of elders in the body and setting everything in order. Our prayer and desire is to see a renewed interest in the expository teaching of the Word of God in the community where God has called us to minister. Also our prayer is that many in this area will come into a loving relationship with Jesus and learn to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. John 7:37-38 says, “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “ If anyone thirsts, let him come to ME and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living waters.” Jesus wants us to come to Him and walk with Him so that He can empower and overflow our lives with His presence.
